MNO Home Buyers Contribution (HBC) Program 2023/24

The goal of the Home Buyers Contribution Program is to financially assist eligible MNO citizens, by providing them help with their down payment for the purchase of their FIRST primary residence in Ontario. Those individuals and/or families that qualify for a mortgage and do not own a home, or have interest in any real estate, may be eligible to apply.
Eligible households must meet the following criteria:
1. Are a registered Métis Nation of Ontario Citizen
2. At least 18 years of age or older
3. First Time Home Buyer
4. Applying for a primary residence in Ontario
5. Provide proof of down payment from traditional sources*
6. Able to qualify and obtain a conventional mortgage**
7. Must not have received previous funding from the MNO Home Buyers Contribution (HBC) Program
*Minimum down payment is 5% for the first $500k of the purchase price. 10% down payment is required on amounts over $500k but under $1M. Minimum down payment required on homes over $1M is 20% of the entire purchase price.
**MNO has partnered with an approved Mortgage Lender(s) who are familiar with the Home Buyers Program and legal process.
