The Michif-Fransè course is designed for Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) citizens who are learners with some or no previous knowledge of the Michif-Fransè language. It introduces students to Métis language history, Michif-Fransè writing, sound system, vocabulary and phrases. The course will also provide the opportunity to practice speaking Michif-Fransè as spoken in Ontario through natural dialogue. Contextual learning will allow one to apply knowledge and express oneself through greetings, as our ancestors did proudly.
