
The Early Childhood Educator Support Program (RECE Supports) is available to all MNO citizens who have a complete registry file and are Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs). Through this program, Métis RECEs may be reimbursed up to $1,000 for Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) membership-related expenses, including initial application fees, annual renewal fees, and approved professional development activities. Reinstatement fees are not eligible for reimbursement.
Through the RECE Supports Program, the MNO will reimburse the following professional development fees:
- Additional Qualification (AQ) courses
- Workshops, seminars and/or webinars
- Online courses
- Books required for courses
- Post-secondary courses – One course per semester
- First Aid/CPR or Mental Health First Aid
- Conferences which include registration fees, accommodation, and travel up to the maximum allowance specified
- Educational podcasts
- Membership fees for professional governing bodies (e.g. AECEO, Passionately Curious)
- Membership fees for ECE Resource Centres (e.g. ECCDC, PRC)
- Safe Food Handlers Course
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Seasonal outdoor clothing every 2 years up to the maximum allowance specified and upon approval for the following items:
- winter jacket
- snow pants
- winter boots (one time purchase)
- winter hat
- winter mittens
- rain jacket
- rain pants
- rain boots (one time purchase)
- bug repellent and/or UV clothing; upon approval
