TABLET COVID-19 Supports for Seniors
The goal of the program is to support seniors during covid-19 who are experiencing extreme isolation as a result of social distancing protocols that caused limited interaction with their family.
The program offers tablets to be distributed to seniors across MNO districts for the purposes of connecting with family and friends via zoom or other virtual chat apps, connecting to online programming and activities offered by MNO that include workshops and skills-building on navigating systems to health and wellness education, cultural programming etc.
Eligible Seniors must meet the following criteria:
1. Must be 55 years or older
2. Must self-identify as Indigenous
3. First time applying for a Tablet with the Metis Nation of Ontario
As quantities are limited, we ask that only one application be submitted per household to allow more families connect with their loved ones.
